First of all, let me say that i have searched the search bar many times but havnt found exactly what im looking for. Im will try to give you all the information that you need, but if i forget something let me know.
Im looking to but a new park ski but im having trouble deciding which ski would be right for me. Im about 5'8" 150 lbs and ski what i would consider, moderatly aggresive. Heres the breakdown on what type of skiing i want the ski to do.
70% Park: Keep in mind that i live in the inland northwest so its not usually extreemly icy...but as you know, the park has its icy days everywhere you go. Probably about 45% Medium Sized jumps (about 40ft) with bigger kickers thrown in there now and then, 35% Rails, and 20% Pipe. I will be practicing as well as competing in slopestyle, pipe, and railjams on these skis.
15%Groomers: Everyonce in a while you just need to go rip up a groomer. I want this ski to beable to carve a groomer decently at high and low speeds.
15%Freeride: This factor is not as important for me because i also have a pair of Karmas that i will use when im not planiing on being in the park all day, but just as with groomers, i might get bored of the park and take a few laps up to the top and want to beable to have at least semi decent runs with these...not in deep powder obviously but just steep, fast lines.
I like a stiffer ski usually, not some noodle of a ski. Im thinking probably around the 170 cm range. If you recomend a ski, please but some reason behind your opinion, not just "get Ski x" Thanks for reading all the way through this. Any recomendations will be appreciated.
