Stevens Pass Backcountry

I was up there last sunday and although the visibility wasn't taht great me and a friend hiked up the ridge going toward 7th heaven from the tye mill chair. It's a relatively short hike and got good untoghed pow above the area. If anyone else knows anything about the out of bounds around stevens i would like to know. I want to go farther out but don't know about getting stuck away from lifts and such. thx

yeah just be careful out there. i had friends get lost and rescue team had to get them that night. they got a huge fine for everything and had to pay rescue costs...

Yeah, i know a lot of great places to hike to, and some really nice drops, but those cost $5. paypal please.


If you want to seriously hit BC, try Chair Peak at Snoqualmie, Granite mt near stevens or going off the southback chair on the ridge that leads away and get a friend to pick you up on the highway. but crystal has undeniably the best BC i've skied on, plus a tram that picks you up on the road.

What do you care Erich? You're too lazy to hike anywhere anyhow... Besides, everybody already knows about Tunnel Creek and Wenatchee Bowl. There is much better BC stuff at Stevens than that.

yea, first, snoqulamie sucks ass, so does the snow. What the fuck is up with u?? Crystal gots 1000 acres of sick snow. head out the boundary line on stevvens backside for some nice turns, but be sure to cut back in, or ir gonna hike.

Yeah,

That was one of the dumbest postes ever, Crystal has some of the best lift accesed B/C in the country and it kicks alpentals ass. If you are going to do hard core mountaineering with Martin the story may be different, but for tree skiing, drops, and endless pow Crystal is the shit. You can go to piss pass all you want I'll be neck deep a week after it shows out in the North Back...

if u take up double diamond at stevens and go left and hike like 10-15 minutes (really easy hike), u might get to cabin thingy...if u take that all the way down, its the most fun thing to do at stevens cuz there is always pow, and u end up on a cattrack that will lead u to the backside chairs

careful if u cut outside the terrain park. there's knee deep untracked pow, but theres a reason its untracked, ITS A FUCKING TWO HOUR HIKE OUT!!!! theres a catrack if u know where to go, but me and my friends didnt, and hiked across this lake, and through the woods, and came out on the freeway like two miles down, and had to hitchike back up. it took two hours and it suked ass!
