i was wondering if going to whistler in april is a bad idea, i like more backcountrry then park, i would still do park, but i want something different. So would it be to rainy, and not good snow, or is it good? any help is aprieciated
umm i ski mostly in vancouver but for me spring skiing is some of my favorite. you get tons of sunny days and the landings in the park are really soft, if you are looking for big mountain though im not sure if its the best time for you to come.

The springsnow backcountry is pretty fun in April. There might be a few pow days but i wouldnt count on it . There will be a fuckload of really technical lines that you can ski on corn snow.
Backcountry Pow or backcountry in general? sometimes spring snow can get really sticky icky, i ski vancouver mainly like pencilsteeze above, but it shouldnt be too big of an issue at whistler.
it's not a bad idea, but it's not the best if you prefer backcountry. march is probably better, februrary even better. of course, this is all weather dependant
i skiied whistler last season in april during the telus ski and snowboard festival man it was soo good the snow was better then when i went in february
