Volk Supercross 6

I read a really good review of these skis, said they were powerful and responsive, and the only con was that is was too much ski for aprehensive skier. Has any one tried them? OR know if there really that good.

I assume you mean the 6 star by volkl? yea there nice, so is everybodys ski in that catagory. just buy some rossi rpm 90's.

as said above, I think you are talking about the Volkl SuperSport 6 Star. I didn't get the chance to ski em, last years 5 Star (arguably basically the same ski - I've been told the 5 star was toned down a bit this year to bring in the 6 star) was an incredible ski though. As far as I know the only complaint I heard about them was 1 person I ski with a lot bent his ski and had to send it back to volkl.

I would say that if you are looking into getting them, you wouldn't be disappointed, but they are pricey (especially with the piston motion setup).

ya i liked the 5 star alot, but i liked the atomic supercross sx11 better. that thing is nuts. i think they have a few different versions of it for this season

yeah, the Atomic sx:11 is unchanged (titanium Beta CHannels), the sx:9 is supposed to be identical to the 11 except with Hyper Carbon Beta Channels, below that there are a couple other models but I don't think they would compare to the 5 or 6 star.
