so me and my girlfriend are moving to CO within this month hopefully. i believe that we are going to settle somewhere preferably near aspen...anybody kno the area, and whats it like. i hope to meet some of you guys for sure...if anybody wants to party in CO in the near future hit me up
why aspen? i think there are better places to move to in colorado, but whatever. if you cant afford property in aspen, carbondale is cheaper and very close, basalt is a little farther but still isnt too much farther, and im pretty sure basalt is cheaper than carbondale.
i would have to agree that there are alot better places to live, i'm not to fond of aspen. the costs and just the enviorment seems somewhat off there. you should check out some other places first and see what else there is in colorado for you.
Basalt is reasonably close to Snowmass. You could be on a lift in 20-25 minutes out your door. It is further to Buttermilk/Highlands/Ajax and Carbondale is even further down valley than Basalt.
All in all, Aspen is pretty awesome- Better than just about anything close to I-70. There are only a couple other resorts in Colorado that I would live in before Aspen.
Yea, I live with my dad in snowmass. It is expensive as hell, and unless you are rich, you should plan on living downvalley(ie. basalt, carbondale). The best part about the area, no crowds on the mountain. and the atmosphere is worth it
