there are a few things wrong with this thread:
1) it is useless a pole is a pole. a freestyle pole wont make you a better skier

K2 has some real sick poles this year... and i know i agree a pole is a pole but i really like the k2 poles they are really strong and really light... i hate heavy ass poles... oh and they have sick graphics

dunno about you guys, But I break poles alot. I copped a more expensive pair and they stopped breaking. I used to go through like 3 pairs a season/

i spent $50 on some armada ones and love them so much. ive had them for 2 seasons, not one bend yet. the grips are amazing feeling, not your average pole grip. more of like a biking grip. and they have easily changeable baskets for powder and for park. i would recommend them to anyone who wants a quality pole.

i break poles alot, and my parents got me new ones for my b day, and i broke those three day after. i just keep stealing someone else's crappy poles when i break mine.i painted the ones i have now over the summer. they are sick with a white base, and a blue spiral down the whole thing, and the spiral gets thinner as it goes down.

I used to break a lot of poles as well. Went from Scott, to Smith (Z-bends), to Leki World Cup to Ice USA 100% Carbon poles, and I've had them for many seasons now. Best poles I've used by far.

As long as they are 100% carbon, solid shafts. The composite mixes don't seem to be as sturdy. Most of the newer carbon poles I have seen have not impressed me one bit.

So I have 2 pairs of Scott Axis poles (25$ at sportchek). One set is 34", and the other is 41". They are rather light, and I have not has any issues with the breaking or bending.

Poles are poles. Get whats cheap.

I use to go through about two or three poles a season. Then I got some of "The Royal Shafts".

They look fucking sweet (Multiple graphics to choose from), they're indestructible. And they have a lifetime, no questions asked, warranty.

I got mine at Christy's Sports, and I can't find a website. But looks like you can get them here:

Thats the point, no one gives a fuck about the graphics.

Poles are poles, until they start breaking. The only reason I would ever spend more money on a pole would be so I didn't have to spend money on them again.

im going to borrow some rentals take them home and paint them on top with a baby blue base on bottom with white base and do black stripes on them.

yah im using the K2 carbon fiber poles, they rule. they cost a little extra, but they're super resilient. youll save money by dropping 50 bucks on them because you wont be replacing 15-dollar aluminum poles every time you snap one falling while trying a new trick.

hahah i did that once, it was my last day in argentina and i wanted to get my pass pulled, so i stole two of those 8ft bamboo trail markers and used them as poles

but in all seriousness fuck poles, they just lead to hurt thumbs, seriously, i bet 99% of NS dont use their poles while skiing park

I have always just used scott kids poles, once thoes brake i think i might step up to a pair of goodie poles.  What size do you guys rock, i usually use around 42" or what ever i can find

if u wanna be creative, do your own design, i taped stripes on mine, looks pretty legit. as for what size poles, i ski with 42's when its not a park day, and since its pretty much physically impossible for me to ski no poles (it fucks my balance over so so so so much) i use a ridiculously short 34 for park
