Looks like my state will have a gorgeous year, little below normal temps with more storms and precipitation that normal... sounds about right for Baker to set another snow record.
my dad disagreed, but im staying hopeful...he says that snowstorms start by africa and we havent had much action lately, but i think he knows nothing, and that its something different...i just dont know what it is either, but im staying positive
yeah it was cooling down here but now the heat is coming back its going to be in the high 80's maybe even 90 again for the rest of the week into next... thats like 15-20 degrees above average...
East coast guys. Give it a week and a half. Around the 15th we will see cool temps and below freezing nights likely.
There is a pattern change being recognized in the near future. Some models are even painting in snow for high elevations, but that is unlikely to happen.
Thats awesome. Does anyone remember what they were saying about winter at this time last year? Did they predict not alot of snow or did they because there wasn't alot in the Utah area. I just wanna know if they say shit like this every year to get our hopes up.
Hard to say how accurate it was, especially in terms of the east coast, where we had two disticntly different weather patterns. Early winter was VERY warm, with late winter VERY cold.
I know the west didn't see much snow, but did it rain instead of snow last year?
These are long range predictions. They are tying to take an educated guess on what the weather will in general for a few months.
It's like trying to pick the superbowl winner off of the first 2 weeks performances.
I don't want to be a spoilsport, but NOAA was pretty accurate in terms of long range forecasts last year. At least MT is in above average precip, barely.
