me and my buddie were talking after school today, anywhom we started talking bout' GPS's and like if you isolated the freq.(I.E. frequency bands on police cruisers) one might be able to track police cars. Anyone know of there is such a thing like this?

gps cant track radio frequencies. youd have to actually tap into the gps trackers that cop cars have in em. which im sure would be very illegal. but so are radar detectors dependin on where u r.

There is no way of knowing where the source of a radio signal is, just by measuring the signal at one point (your car).
Maybe you could measure proximity... but it would be greatly affected by the environment and terrain.

can't you buy police scanners that you can find the right frequency with and eavesdrop on them? it sounds silly but the way they do it in the original fast and the furious. of course that could be fake because its a movie but just an example..
All times are Eastern (-5)
