It's pissing me off to not be able to buy anything online, and I'm not 19 yet. I was wondering if anybody had a clue how to get a credit card in Canada, not linked to your parent's account, without ridiculous fees?

Nah, this is different. It's like a Visa that's directly linked to your bank account so it works like a debit that you can use online.

You could transfer money from your bank account into paypal...it takes 10 bussiness days though.
Just wait it out until you can get a visa. They're sick, everything is free now!

yes you can. you open a checking account and they give you a checking card with visa or mastercard logo on it. you can use it anywhere a credit card can be used.
and as for paypal you have two options. you can either link it to the card. which allows you to put money into your paypal account (to pay someone or to buy something) and the second option which is the better option is linking your payal account directly to your paypal account that way if you ever sell something and receive money through paypal it will be wired directly to your account (usually takes 1-3 days)

I think you can get one if your parents sign.
Or you can get a prepaid one, but lots of these easy access cards have some tricks so be careful.
I just got my first legit card, I lied about my income and said I wasn't a student and I still only have 500 dollar limit, but its a start atleast.

um yea you cant get a paypal account even if you only have a bank account and you can intsantly transfer funds from your account if your buying somthing. i just went through what your going through like 2 weeks ago cuase i wanted some ec hats so i set mine up and im only 16

yeah you can transfer funds to paypal online through your bank account. Also there are those visa gift card things now, that you can use like a credit card but you buy it like a gift card at safeway or somewhere.. personally I've never bought one, only seen them at safeway

debit cards are often charged as credit cards anyway. they can be used online and at any stores (almost). also, link your paypal directly to your checking accoutn and it works perfect.
