Stevens Pass reopened at noon Thursday after being
closed since 2 a.m. Thursday because of snow slides and avalanche
control work. A power outage is affecting the Stevens Pass area, said Jeff Adamson, a spokesman for the state Department of Transportation.

Pass was closed at 10:45 a.m. this morning as avalanche control crews
worked near Interstate 90. Adamson said the highway will remain closed
at least until 1 p.m. Thursday.
