Sony HC23 Mini DV Camcorder?

Any input on this camera, i know its not brilliant.. but im on a budget and want to get this whilst its cheap. Its reduced to 100 quid ( roughly around 200 dollars) from £329.99 (660 dollars) what'cha reckon?

for a limited budget starter camera, its not bad...i payed more for mine way back when, and if you mess around with some of the manual controls, you can get some cool footage.  as always, if you can, try and buy something better, the panasonic pv-gs320 is one of, if not the cheapest 3CCD camera out there, its retails like $500, so you could probably get it on sale...

a CCD is a "charged couple device"...now i dont really understand that, but for the basics, they kind of interpret the colors that the camera sees, so one isnt as good as three...talk to Slandis or Jeff_Lo, they both work with cameras alot, theyd know it better

well basically the 3CCCD cameras produce better colors. With one CCD the piece of glass can only interpret so many colors causing some mixed colors, especially in low light. But with three of them, one for green, blue, and red, all producing magnificent colors. Just saying....I would get a gs500, great starter camera

i can see why this would be better, but i dunno if i can get the money before i go skiing next...can someone find me a movie thats filmed by the sony or something very similar, i cant find anything.thanks for all the help too, also, will it be better than my digital camera, that i have to film with at the moment( quality )

look at my threads, or search HV20 in the search bar, theres a thread with like the 2nd post of snowboard movie with a hv20 clip. its ust nuts. so dope

its not dollars, landis, its euros, so the HV20 is like 700 euros, but in dollars its like 1500...BIG difference!

hv20 is around 850-1000 bucks USD depending on where you get it, i got it for 860.
