do you think the best way to progress is to ski really hard for a day (until youre tired and sore) and take the next day(s) off, or ski for maybe an hour or two every day of the week?
Ski all the time, every day until you can't take it anymore.
Or, just make sure you kill it everytime you ride. There really isn't a guaranteed way to progress. It's all up to you.
unless you injure your self you don't really need rest days for skiing, its not like most sports where it targets just a few muscles, you use your entire body, and all of your huge leg muscles, so overuse injuries don't normally happen.
so, the best way to progress is to ski, as much as you can.
ski with a group, with a few members slightly better than you. You will see them doing certain tricks that you cant do, but you know that you could do them. Try try try.
Also I like to set goals for the day, and at the start of the season I say "I want to learn something new or improve my style ect. every day." If you learn one new thing every day thats like 80 new variations or grabs with a trick in a season.
scientist knows wats up but to add to that id say dont be a pussy and dont be afraid to try stuff just block out the fact that you might get hurt cause u cant be good at something if ur attitude is that i might get hurt everytime i do something
