Great Band, and when there shit comes on at a party everyone can respect it. Just thought id see what you guys think, but I think there great, and I think the day they broke up was a sad day in music. Now I dont want to get into some gay music debate, but Im just throwing it out there.
the dude's voice makes me wana kill somebody, the use of only 3 chords pisses me off, and the fact that such a great drummer was playing in such a band is a shame.
and boxcar racer, and travis went to implants for a while.
There older stuff was fucking sick. From Buddha until take of your pants and jacket. There new album was kind of mediocre, but it had some decent tracks.
My favorite CD is still the mark tom and travis show live. Some of the commentary between tracks is fucking priceless. "As we move through the show, you will see mark getting fatter and fatter" "whys he getting fatter?" "BOOBIESSSSSS"
i think you mean the transplants, but yeah i like dude ranch, enema, and take off your pants. angels and airwaves is pretty good if you like some mellow alternative
blink is one of my fav bands of all time. none of their songs ever get old, even iff you play then back to back to back. everyone i know, if its like the emo, goth, metal, ghey, any kind of person at my school, they have respect and like/have liked blink 182. just one the the geatest bands
well, lets put it this way..do you cut yourself? do you were excessive amounts of black clothing/chains? did you cover your body with useless and ugly tatooes?
point made, blink 182 is by far one of the worst bands of all time..unless your emo or straight up homosexual.
woah easy killer.
they had catchy music that was accesable and they played music that kids could relate too (talking about divorce, not getting girls, even though we know they defenetly get all the girls they want) they were defenetly a good band.
alright guys, just because you don't particularly like there music doesn't mean they suck. They were a very respectable band. Saying they were shitty is a lot like saying Gagnier is a bad skier, some may not like his style but he can fucking rip anyways.
i think they are straight up gay... they play at the school dances when i was in middle school and all the kids would jump up and down and mosh that were just recently playing TAG at a dance. then all the upperclass men lined up and stared the DJ down till he changed it.
I love this band, everything up until take off your pants and jacket was amazing. and if you want to hear tom play some good guitar listen to "touchdown boy" off of chesire cat
agreed, i only liked a few songs on thier self titled album but other than that they became almost like every other bands today, like pop punk/emoish stuff.
"I know a guy, he has sex with his sister. Hes used his dick to pop her 4 foot blister and I know hes not that cool. he fucked her in my swimming pool. He has three testicles and he uhh he loves too.... Do shit! YEA~"
I hate when people think their opinion about music is the ONLY way to think, and is 100% CORRECT. IT's bullshit. Music is probably the biggest example of personal preference. You can't just say it sucks because you don't prefer it. I like Blink 182.
I used to listen to the non stop in 7th and 8th grade but I went to a concert and they sucked. they rushed through the set and were done in 20 minutes.
I eventually became less obsessed and their last album was more on the whiny emo side of things. I don't listen to them often, in fact very rarely, but I be I could still embarrassingly blast a few of their older songs. (but still not "respect" them like the first post said.)
regular concert at pnc with no doubt and the living end. the living end was actually pretty good, a bit hard to hear the lyrics in concert but I got the cd later on. and no doubt was good too I think, it wasn't too long before they split. but when blink 182 came out they just did song after song with barely a pause in between. they did make a quick joke about masturbating and travis and his drums somehow went underground and across to this part of the lawn while he was playing which was pretty cool.
Yes, everyone has different taste and is entitled to their own opinion, but I still have a really hard time fathoming why anybody likes them. That bubblegum punk is one of the most soulless, empty, and plastic excuses for rock going. Their music sounds cheesy and contrived. It also doesn't help that the vocals sound like a seal being molested and the guitarist don't have enough creativity or talent to play more than 3 chords. I stand the idea that record sales are not any gauge of talent.
