i went to the show last night in deer valley. it was epic, definently the best show i've ever been to, jack johnson was on first and it was pretty good. hee played all his really famous songs, then ben harper came out he stole the show for sure. he was amazing playing a lot of songs off the live from mars cd's. he opened with glory and consequences. it was amazing. he did a cool remix of excuse me mr. and steal my kisses. it was killer
i know people who smoke herb
i know people who smoke a lot of herb and it freese up there creativity and mind
then i know people who smoke even more herb, they smoke herb everyday, and i haven't heard a sentance out of them in ten years
then there are some who don't smoke any herb
and those who are so wrapped up in there head they need to take a mother fucking hit!

O whole bunch of my friends went. They said they all got incredibley high, and the show was absolutely amazing. I wish I could've gone. Oh well, I get to go to 311 on Saturday, and I didnt pay a cent for my tickets.(they're in the suites too.)

Ohh you got Glory And Consequences, thats such a sick song, he didn't play that one here, but he did do the funky Excuse Me Mr Version. Yeah the show here was to like 10000 people and while it was still awesome and the best gig I've been too it is definately the sort of musician that goes off best in smaller venues but he's so popular now that heaps of people would miss out if he did that.

All i'm saying is that i Ben Harper's crowd has gone from sincere jamband music lovers into more the 'dave matthew' fan type who are a bunch of stupid people that annoy the hell out of me.
I know they have to play at bigger venues, Ctripper, but that still means that i'm not seeing 2 small crowd musicians infront of that many people.
THe ben harper show near me sold out in 1 day..and that was the fleet pavilion. that just pisses me off. and the people who went that i know of...were those stupid teenage girls who think their all 'sophisticated' since they listen to ben.

i saw Ben Harper in boston and that show was so sick. All i did was blaze the nuggies the whole show. best thing i have even seen or been to. Also saw 311 and that show was sick to.
