My friends and I went on a backpacking trip the other day up to the Adarondacks for a couple days. On our second day we decided to hike from our base camp up Mount Marcy in the middle of the night to watch the Sunrise. We started hiking an hour after the sun fell and we probably hiked until 2 or 3 in the morning. It was an amazing experience. As we got higher and higher up the mountain the tree's started to get smaller and smaller while the stars got brighter and brighter. The Temp probably dropped into the 40's while we sleeping at the top. We didnt stay at the top top but we were pretty damn close. From the top we were able to see the lights of Lake Placid, it was so cool. The sunrise was amazing too. So that night we were the highest people in New York State.
