They had a story on CBC news the other day about an exodus of Canadian shoppers to the US with the dollar rate these days.

I just hate the fact that we are getting ripped off with everything now that the dollars are equal. What do you guys think?

I think that canada operates better with a canadian dollar. Our industrys can sell products easyer, etc. But this may be good since we could attract jobs to canada with our higher dollar.

the canadian dollar has surpassed the american dollar already. i was watching the news one morning and it said canadian dollar ^1.003....WTF?!?!

how are you getting ripped off? your dollar is worth more.do you think that all canadians are supped to get rich all of a sudden just because it is worth more when compared to the u.s dollar?

Because we still pay a significant amount more for almost everything. I guess I forgot to mention that but I thought it was self-explanatory.
