Skier Half Pipe Cult

There was an idea expressed in the Scmuck/Dumont Article that I think is fantastic.  Support for this idea is huge. If you are interested in discussing ideas for a separate 1/2 Pipe comp at the same time as the Vancouver 2010 Olympics, please post here or message me.

now that would be epic, anf if it was organised right it would really show fis how much they fucked up and how popular the event is. I would deffinatly help out with that, so papa if it comes down to it and we need volinteers you can count me in 100%

Sick idea. I think an even better idea would be to have a "showcase comp" to show the Olympic organizers real halfpipe skiing.

Bad idea. it would give the FIS the feeling that we don't need them. They wouldn't want us in when we do a protest comp kind of.

The FIS has had to deal with IFS in 98 -  I really don't think they would want to go through that again.  Quite frankly I think that is the biggest driving reason why it is not being included.  The FIS has no clue on how to judge.  So thier thinking is if they don't know how, they won't learn.  just my opinion.

Jea, could be right.

But think about the FIS Halfpipe Competitions. Nobody ever visited them. The FIS already thinks that we don't need them.
On another note: do you remember the FIS Contest the same time as the X Games.
Many skiers felt kinda disrespected and declared the FIS dumb.
Could happen to us also.
Therefore i don't think a comp a the same time is the way to go.

YESSSSS! That is the best idea. Another halfpipe comp in Van/whis. Show those olympians 1/2 pipe can bring audiences!
