Where to mount in 1080gun?

Looking for advice from those that actually own, or have atleast demoed this ski. I picked a pair of 174 guns from the Sierra sale as a glade/pow ski on the east coast, but it's becoming pretty common for people to be using 90mm+ waisted skis as their every-day all around ski. I have a feeling I'm really going to like the stability of a wider ski underfoot and these will probably become my everday ski. I ski 50% park and 50% all mtn. I'm 5'8" and weigh 163lbs. Should I mount ahead of the reccomended line? I dont want them centered but right now i'm skiing 167 chronics, and I'm not sure how easily i'll transition to a longer, fatter, more flexable ski.

I agree. I had some mounted at suggested and they rode great. Then I moved them up 3 cm and they felt pretty much the same. +3 is what I would suggest.

i have some center mounted salomon pocket rockets..basically the same ski but i love them..i rode them in powder twice and they didnt seem to dive at all..they are a smooth ski
