Replying to A quote for good skiers (or anyone good at what they do).
So this is a quote from Frank Lloyd Wright (a very famous architect) and I think it is the perfect quote for great skiers or anyone recongnized for how good they are at something:
-“Early in life I had to choose between honest arrogance and hypocritical humility. I chose the former and have seen no reason to change.”
It is so true that great people either choose to be honest and say they are good and know it(and usually get hated on) or pretend they suck to please people. You see it everywhere, whether its a smart person saying their dumb or a great athlete saying hes/shes just lucky and its an act of god or something like that. Its really anoying because its not true and everyone who hears them know it. Its just that they think they are not going to be liked because they are good (which does happen alot) and so they become hypocrites. Just be honest and stop trying to be liked by jealous people. Do people think that skiers like Tanner, Andy, or Pep do not think themselves as good? Is it really a secret that anyone who is good most likely knows so whether or not they say it?
