Replying to My Mom is fucking stupid...

So my mom went on a trip to visit some friends in San Francisco and she asked to borrow my dad's labtop for the trip, and she also brought the video camera (that I primarily use), right after she left my dad says "We're never going to see that stuff again". Sure enough, she left the laptop and the camera sitting on the seats in their rental car, in plain view, unlocked when they went to a restaurant and someone stole it all. She doesn't even phone the police because "the car's not damaged" because she's too stupid to know that insurance companies need a police report, and won't cover stuff you leave in an unlocked vehicle. So now I'm in the market for a new camera, and maybe a mom who's not stupid.
