so if theres any body out there who needs a decent pair of skis but cant aford them.....

Aight well ill give this story thing a shot.
well it all started at the ripe age of 11.
skiing, this evil, evil passion took over not only my wallet but my soul. Every night I would lie in bed reading my latest ski mag for the 15th time. But then, this year it happend, the year i can drive(16) I worked hard all last summer and this summer, hopeing and dreaming that this year a seasons pass would do me good because now i can drive. Well now this is were the story gets hard to tell, trust me, im sitting here crying to myself. I drained my bank account, money i had worked so hard for to buy this car. So now im stuck. Not only did I need new outerwear but new skis were in order too, Damn growth spurts.I didnt think this one through, a couple days ago i spent the last cash I had to my name, buying the " o so needed" sick outerwear from pussyfooter.(thanks by the way) But now, only now am i realising that im fucked. eariler today I went around hunting for jobs, EMS,Drycleaners,PRicechopper, Nothing. So now reading this thread, rejoycing hopeing that you fellow ns-ers will hook a broke brother up. Then when the time comes and karma surges throught my body, then i will contribute back. this community of skiers is one of the greatest this i have ever been apart of and i cant wait to see where it takes me.....

the age limit should be 18. almost anyone who still lives w/ there parents has no idea what "poor" is. Theese should go to a guy/girl who is has no skis and can hardly pay for food. You know, somebody who is having real troubles like health insurance, and rent. not a car and new outerwear.

dear fellow newschooler, i am responding to your thread about the skiis you are graciously giving away. first of all, i would like to start off by saying that i am a poor college student, i worked all summer just to buy a pass to our local ski hill, where i will ride the buss up to the ski hill (cause i cannot afford a car or gas) but, last year, my line mike nicks (i believe they are the same year that your skogans are) broke down like a motha. they now have 12 core shots, i can pull the base away from the cre with my fingers, so i was forced to buy new skis last year, unfortunally, the only skis that i could afford were the rossi sprayers that i boought from a dicks, but because they are such cheep skis, they are already starting to lose their response (and their topsheet) so soon, i believe i will have to buy skis again but i have about 20 dollars to my name which will have to go towards books for school, i have made this long enough, i wont mind if you dont choose me, all i can wish for is that your decesion is easy

I'm a poor university student, who's savings was eaten up by books this year. And gave my younger brother my bc's cause he's been wanting them and it'd be nice to have a second pair of skis again.

yea like unless your mom works at walmart and ure dad doesnt have a job or u have crazy med bills anyone who isnt in college or university or out shouldnt really get them and if u still live with ure parents someone had to take u skiing so they obviously have some money...

My small story:
I just started grad school this year. i have over 35 grand in debt. my parents barely make enough money to get by and have nothing in savings. i had 4 jobs this summer, 2 of which were minimum wage and the other 2 paid a little more, but were terrible. for school i spent 700 on books for one semester, a little over 1,900 on other equipment (next semester will be another grand) and i don't have enough right now to pay rent. still working a minimum wage job so i can feed myself.
i don't really need the skis that much, but i felt like contributing to the poor-fast. in 4 years my salary should be high enough that i should come back to the site and do this with a new pair of skis. if i remember to do so i certainly will.

Correct me if it's not true, but I think Willy posted a thread about how some fellow NS'er bought his skis and handed them back to him. I'm not saying he doesnt qualify, I'm just saying he already has skis. As for my vote, I say the guy who's in college and gave his little brother his skis.

ok so i suck at stories but here we go, I'm 17 i saved all my money to buy a car over the summer, i saved some money to get a season pass and a new set of sticks, alas i decided that driving fast is way more fun, now i have a speeding ticket and a window tint ticket, i was clocked at 66 in a 40, so there goes all my money, im scrounging to get a season pass which is a priority over my skis. I have skis they are the orange 1260's most of the edges are gone and the core is popping out under-foot. Yea talk about urban condish. So im going to be stuck riding these all next year, not that im complaining but they most definitly can not handle the mountain outside of the park. So if you give them to me that would be really sweet i really am desperate for new skis
