MOVE NORTH THROUGH CALIFORNIA AND INTO NEVADA TONIGHT AND
SATURDAY. WIDESPREAD RAIN AND SNOW IS EXPECTED TO SPREAD OVER MONO
COUNTY THIS EVENING AND CONTINUE THROUGH SATURDAY AFTERNOON.

THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN RENO HAS ISSUED A HEAVY SNOW
WARNING...WHICH IS IN EFFECT FROM 10 PM THIS EVENING TO 5 PM PDT
SATURDAY. THE WINTER STORM WATCH IS NO LONGER IN EFFECT.
WIDESPREAD RAIN AND SNOW WILL SPREAD OVER MONO COUNTY THIS
EVENING. SNOW LEVELS ABOVE 9000 FEET EARLY THIS EVENING ARE
EXPECTED TO FALL TO 7500 FEET BY SATURDAY MORNING. SNOWFALL
TOTALS OF 6 TO 12 INCHES ABOVE 7500 FEET ARE POSSIBLE...WITH OVER
A FOOT POSSIBLE AT THE HIGHEST ELEVATIONS.
SIGNIFICANT AMOUNTS OF SNOW ARE FORECAST. ROADS WILL BECOME SNOW
COVERED AND SLICK...CREATING DIFFICULT TRAVEL CONDITIONS AT
ELEVATIONS ABOVE 7500 FEET OVERNIGHT AND SATURDAY. IF YOU MUST GO
OUT...ENSURE THAT A WINTER SURVIVAL KIT IS IN YOUR VEHICLE.
