Winter and Tramps

Who leaves their tramp outside in the winter? I just bought one at the beginning of the summer but dont know whether to take it down for the winter or not.

ive had mine up for 5 years straight year round and its all gravy. the padding gets a little funky but so what. a heavy snow will fuck it up so ive heard though, it really stretches out the springs so consider where you live before leaving it up.

I've heard that about the springs. I think I'll take it down, just wanted to know everyones opinion.

I leave mine out all year round and shovel it, but I have also gone through 4 tramps in 5 years...

We get good winds, pretty good snowfall. I'm in Ontario by the way, a bit north of Blue Mountain.

nah, i live in maine, we get quite a bit of snow. My last tramp i left out for 6 years in a row, and it just broke last year. Just shovel the snow off after a big dump

Snow and ice has never ruined any of my trampolines (not that I doubt they were contributing factors) it was more of the crazy hurricane like storms we sometimes get up here, I would always find my trampoline in the middle of a cornfield a quarter mile away, all damaged and stuff.

as long as it doesn't dump more than a foot and you shovel it off fairly quick you should be fine.......the best is when you leave it up in the winter and it snows a ton and you can shovel off your tramp and jump intoa the snow

i live in CO, and we got a tramp last fall. we had to shovel it because we got 7 feet of snow, and our tramp was bent at like a 60 degree angle, it was bad, but it still works fine

lauren you should just stake your tramp down like whoa so it doesnt fly away. the way you said that was pretty damn funny too, haha. i can just imagine a mangled trampoline sitting in a cornfield like some kind of UFO wreck

Yeah get a couple of 10' concrete blocks and tie them to the main frame on the tramp just so they act as an anchor.
