i like watching the downhill. thats all. slalom once in awhile is neat too.

i never raced because there was to much conformity but i didnt really get into newschool until this year. I was an all mountain skier before and I can ski any thing on the mountain. I got my skogen's this year. Now i can do a 3 with a grab

on the making money part of ski racing, there are just as many ski racers as there are freestylers making bank. bode miller is getting paid a million a year from rossignol and he has plenty of other sponsors. but bode is not the only one making money. all the guys on the world cup make a very good living.

yeah for the guy that said there isnt money there. you are dead wrong. i can tell you there is a hell of a lot more money to be made in racing then in freeskiing. the difference is hat racing is much much more commetitive and invloves a lot more practice and training, money and time.
but thats why i love freeskiing so much, there isnt that pressure and its just as good of a time.

well racing has been around longer so more money as freeskiing get bigger there will be more $$$$

and its really not that bad, one race a day then im free to do what i want

Its winter, the birds have all flown south, all but one. One little bird that waited too long. As it flew to catch it's buddies it got icicles on its wings and fell to the ground. The bird then saw a nice looking branch at the top of a nearby tree and it said to a nearby cow, 'I want to reach that top branch but I don’t have then energy to fly up, can you help?' The moral of the story is, bullshit may get you to the top, but it wont keep you there.

i find it funny how just about a year ago, there were dozens of threads posting how much racers suck and so on. and now we have threads that support racers. im glad to see we are more open minded these days

if you dont get all serious about it racing is alot of fun, and it definetly makes you a way better skiier
