Chem homework

so to prepare 10 mL of 3.0M HCl from 6.0M HCl do i just add 5 mL of water to 5mL of HCl?

and how do i prepare 20mL of 1.0M K2CO3 from solid potassium carbonate?

the dilution of the HCl sounds about right.
i'd help you more with the potassium carbonate but i'm busy doing my own work, if you still don't have it later i'll do it.

well molarity is moles solute divided by liters solvent, and you know you want 20mL of solution at 1.0M, so it's just a matter of plugging it all into the formula.
1.0M=(x moles)/(0.02L), and you'll find that you need 0.2mol of the substance. the molar mass of the compound is 138.2g, so do a proportion of 138.2g/1mol = x g/.2mol, and cross multiply. you'll find that you need 27.64g of the substance. so just mix that amount in with 20mL of water and you should be set.

that should be right, double check for any errors.

well take the sqaure root of platinum which is pimp. and then you take the molar mass of pimp which runs at about $50 bucks for 1/8th.

some kid in my chem class few years back answered a question like this but he went on and on.

Yeah haha, I think Jon went to University of Minnesota Duluth back in the day. Just transferred there.

Ahhhh to think I took all those chemistry and calculus classes to never use them ever again. "higher education" is a fucking joke that is way too general that needs to be slimmed down to the focus of a degree path.
