Bullshit. You mean to tell me that six trained policemen can't put handcuffs on some punk kid and then remove him from the room? There would have been little or no controversy if they didn't use the tazer. It was at their discretion to use such force, and it was the wrong decision because it escalated the problem rather then quell it. Whether the students questions were in good taste (they weren't) or not isn't the issue people are getting worked up about. People are getting worked up because of the way the situation was not diffused properly.

do you have downs? You are completely misinterpreting the whole point of freedom of speech. Yes you can say anything you want, but it doesen't mean that the government doesen't have a right to hear. Of course if you say that you have a bomb when you're in front of the white house you will be detained, questioned, the whole 9 yards. Its a threat to national security. Now correct me if i'm wrong but was asking a controversial question threatening john kerry or anyone there's safety? John kerry even said that it was okay and that he would answer the question. It was by no means the kid's fault, the cops were being complete idiots and overreacting.

the kid had the right to say the stuff he said
kerry shouldve been the only one with the right to shut him up
the cops had NO right in tasering him or using that force. they fucked up
sorry but i think that one 6'+ 200lbs+ black guy couldve taken out a kid in an abercrombie polo. no need for 4 fucking cops. no need for the handcuffs.. and DEFINITELY no need for the taser.
oh, and i liked his clinton comment. made me lol.

Everything that you post shows how well you walk the line. Just beacue something is illegal doesn't mean it's wrong.

The problem behind all of this is that the guy was not civil. Unfortunately for the dude who got tazed, it was his fault by being a speed talking steamroller. Rather than asking his question he took the time to set up the question. Things went wrong in the first 20 seconds when the "management" told him to ask a question and he started fighting back by saying "oh he talked for 2 hours, i can take 2 minutes." That instantly tells you that he didn't truly intend to get an answer to a question. He wanted to control the situation and have everyone listen to him and think that whatever he had to say was relevant. Right there he should have been cut off and not been allowed to continue "asking questions" because that was not his intent. If you then watch after his mic is cut and he is being escorted away, he goes fairly quietly until the crowd starts cheering and amps him up. Thats when things all go to hell because he then thinks to himself "oh I am right in this situation" and he gets thrown down and properly tazed for resisting arrest. If he had spoken towards the senator in a more civil manor, asked anything other than yes/no questions, and gave the senator a chance to answer, this would have never happened. Still, if this kid can pull the Skull and Bonez out of hiding and get the US gov to come out on "rigging" elections etc by getting rialed up to the point of being tazed on purpose. I will be surprised as hell. Sorry dude, you got what you deserved. GJ on keeping the nation thinking though.

I speed, but if I get caught I'm man enough to take responsibility and intelligent to understand that it is indeed wrong and dangerous. Speeding cost me my $1500 this summer so that is 1 mistake I wont make again. Having weed, right or not, is illegal and will get you in trouble. Personally I don't like to think of legalization of weed but if you do it, good for you. My point is regardless if it's right or wrong, it's illegal for a certain reason and just because I'm somewhat of a law abiding citizen I understand why things are illegal.

that's not even what it's about man. It's about a county that's supposedly by the people for the people. I guess it really fits the bill because no one is interested in questionsing or change. You can't ignore it forever. But maybe trying to distract everyone with something other braiddead citizens might agree is bad for the country, weed, might help you in the thread or in your life. btw, I never mentioned anythingn about weed in this thread, so I too am tired of you expressing your views on some tangent that isn't relevant to the topic at hand. Either way, I think we should pump Alaska dry.

I totally agree change is good, but I don't think you grasp the fact that we need laws to protect our people from our people. You may not understand but there are so many reasons why weed can be bad and good, just the bad outweighs the good so it's illegal. You did say something about weed, you said it was illegal for bullshit reasons (or thats how I interperted it). I don't understand how me agreeing with some laws our government has put in place makes me a brain-dead citizen, I try to understand what I'm agruing about and I try to see both sides of the argument. This is not about taking away freedom of speech, this guy was talking and clearly going someplace people didnt want the talk to go to when they asked him to sit down, it was his actions and the polices counteractions which escalated the event into some fiasco.
