Check out the review section! Paul changed it so that each review needs a certain number of ratings to get into top rated section. BAM looks like its actually useful now!

Yeah we're taking another stab at doing something very similar to that... hopefully it will work out a little better this time. That review section is still sick as all hell, we just need to figure out how to make it easier to use!

if reviews ever become used by everyone, "searchbar" will be replaced by "reviews" in Ski Equipment forum. (im not complaining im just saying its what will happen haha)
ex: "Hey i am debating a soft park ski, should i go with some fuj, my buddys last year t halls, or what about something from 4frnt?"

^but everyone does use the searchbar, just not the noobs or lazy people. Sure that might happen, but i don't think it would be a bad thing. The review section would still be useful to those who know about it.

And while I'm impressed with the new addition, it still doesn't give people an opportunity to rate the review. Like a picture. Some products won't get enough reviews to make their way to the top just because they might happen to be rare or unique products, my review for ARGs and Iggyskier's review of FFFs come to mind. We should be able to rate the reviews as we judge how usefull they might be.
Have 2 categories: "Top Rated Products" which is sorta like it is now, and "Top Rated Reviews". Even if the product is only rated a 4, maybe somebody wrote a really good description of the product and might give us reasons why to avoid it.
By the way, where is the Gear Swap forum? We really need one. The classifieds are just terrible. And no, you can't fix them. Just give us a fucking forum.

Classifieds have taken over the ski equipment forum. It's out of hand I think. Legit tech questions get lost among the hoardes of for FS or WTB threads.
