that was a really good article. It sucks he has to relearn anything, but it's awesome he perserveres, and keeps trying shit. I can't imagine how frustrating that could be. Im sure hell be back soon enough with amazing film segments and amazing lines.

Yeah CR is the man. I got to talk to him for a while when he came up to CU for the Boulder Freeride thing. He is so chill it feels like your talking to a buddy that loves skiing and you almost forget that you are talking to a top pro. Im stoked he is riding for 4 frnt now and his pro-model is going to be dope especially since he actually has a say in how the ski is going to turn out unlike at Salomon.

CR overcame more than anyone on this site probably ever could. props to him. its just a shame that he can't really get back to the point he was before his injury, but that is why there is dope backcountry filming.

Not "CAN'T get back to the point he was," but HASN'T YET. Brain injuries are tough things, but he's consistently improving. He may not challenge Dumont, Tanner, Jossi or anyone of the top guys in pipe again, but he's got a serious future in skiing still. This summer he got his 900s back and was feeling really good. Give him another 6 months, and then another year... Anything is possible.

True, I think CR sounds like the type of person who will not settle for just being able to ski "good." I can see him pushing himself to get back to his old abilities, maybe a little more cautious in some ways to prevent further injuries, but he will be back.

recently read this on powder magazines site
“With bigger companies like Salomon, you ride the ski they give you and shut up,” said Johnson.

He hasn't quite gotten back to the point where he was before the injury, purely because head injuries are a very serious thing. He can't take risks like he did before the injury... it could be even worse.

CR is the closest thing to a god cause that guy is immortal coming from near death to shreadding just as hard again id say hes close to a skiing god as u can get does anyone have the link to his article?

he basically said in the article that he won't do pipe anymore, so as far as that aspect he won't be back to his previous skill.

i was impressed by his 7sd seggy given the recovery he made in such a short time. i don't think we can expect him to compete or film much park stuff in the future- i think he'll join the abma, sage, bushfield, hoji genre of skier who mainly charge big mtn but throw in the odd killer jump sesh as well. i hope so anyway- another addition to my favorite skier-type group...
