i know that the dogen had a top sheet that chipped like crazy, does anyone know if the wall has the same problem or if they changed the construction of the topsheet?
hahaha i know i know^ im def not considering getting dogens. I simply knew that they were one of the poopiest skis ever made for topsheet durability and wanted to know if anyone who has ridden them or has them now can confirm that the walls are much much better
the reason the dogen suck is because they were the only volkl freestyle ski made in china, with shitty materials, and poor craftsmanship. they did that, because they needed to have one freeski that is cheap. get the walls, they kill, and have edges that are actually harder than steel rails. I actually looked at some of the rails, and some of the steel was missing from where i went off. They still detune just like any other ski after a lot of rails, but they are very durable.
The wall is completely different. Its completely symmetrical, does not have ABS sidewalls, which chip hardcore, its 87 underfoot, and its a lot more poppy than the dogen. The dogen also had core issues and its base was so weak and so much slower than something like the Wall.
