One of the greatest rally car drivers died yesterday in a helicopter crash. He was only 39. Not only was he a great driver, winning a championship and over 20 races, but his agressive driving style made him a fan favorite. That move he did at the x-games 2 years ago- rolling over and still finishing in 2nd- was very common to him. This has been a very sad week for Rally fans, as Richard Burns also died due to a brain tumor this week.
oh my god dude! thats unbelievable! damnnnnn man thats awful, i was watching him at x games this year, and that rollover was the sickest thing everrrrr, rest in peace...thats really shitty news man that guy was legit.
RIP! rally needs to become more popular in the states, i cannot imagine why nascar still dominates, it's fucking ridiculous. mcrae had an awesome xbox game too.
it is ridculous how popular nascar is it is a horible motor sport its for hicks who dont know how to do a right turn after a while its easy to under stand there stradgy
I realized that. I use to be a really big fan of WRC, with them even coming through my former home town, which was one of the most amazing spectacles. But when i moved to the U.S. and realized they didn't cover real racing like rally or F1, I couldn't follow it as intensely as I use to. At least Speed use to cover it, but even they stopped a few years ago. I just heard he died a couple days ago, so I figured it was from this week.
