I'm thinking about going out west this coming spring semester with a friend and I was thinking who else has done this. During the summer seems to be a little easier and different, so I'm wondering who has done this and could give me a little information about it.

I moved out west for a 'season' 4 years ago..Moved from Southern Ontario. the first time I applied it was for a winter season, but late...like late October/early November...didnt really get any promising feedback. However I applied for a summer position and that got my foot in the door. I went to Panorama first. had a job and staff accom liked up before I left home. Made it 1000x easier, didnt have to worry about anything really. The best advice I can offer is apply early...check job postings and apply as soon as you can. If you are applying for a winter gig this season, I would be checking resort websites everyday. Pretty much the best thing I have ever done was move out west.

dont work at the resort...unless you get a one in a thousand type job there...youll just be pissy the whole time because youd have to work when others are skiing...im pretty over that shit.
