in the history of the world? I think thats a little extreme to categorize 3000 deaths as the worst attack in the history of the world, I mean hitler killed 6 million jewish people, you dont hear them carrying on about it night and day. September 11, was a very dark day in our history, and in my opinion, was the onset of what will be a long and difficult period for the United States. But come on people, lets put some shit in perspective. Compared to many other events in recent times, 9/11 was not on the same level.
I think the point that people will make about Hurricane Katrina is that, if the president was doing his job, by making sure that others were doing their job, Katrina would not have been the complete disaster that it was. I don't think anyone expected the president to fly down there and start pumping water out of the city by himself, but the federal reaction was late, and chaotic, and overall should have been better. The president is in charge, he takes the credit when things go well and should ultimately take responsibility when things go poorly.
I feel like, my president should be classy, intelligent, open-minded at fair, as well as an effective leader that has the best interest of the United States in mind. I think if you look at George W. Bush, he is none of these things. He can't speak effectively, what he does say is abbrasive, usually out of touch with reality, and always sounds forced. He consistently has staked his own political and/or legal wellbeing ahead of anything else, whether by pardoning scooter libby, lying about the threat that Iraq posed to the American people, and then lying about how great things were going when it inevitably went to hell. I don't trust this man at all, and I think he has largely failed the American people.
