Just got it today, it was the best movie since session 1242. My favourite parts were the whistler section at the start and benchelter's ender.
Couple questions.
What was sammy c's hoody? the white, red and blue one.
The song in the calgary seggy says "way i are" by timbland, it's actually "Naughty Eyes" by Timabaland and Magoo. Does anyone know what album this was on? I can't find it.
Anyways great jod poorboyz, can't wait to get next years release.

If you're going to poach your soundtrack you should at least get the names of the tracks right!

i'm so sick of seeing juvenile kids who have nothing to offer doing the same tricks. there is no individuality or creativity in that film. i agree the whistler segment, the france segment and benchetelers segment were the only decent things to watch in the film. other than that it was a bunch of food court gangsters doing the same boring tricks. i want to see something different from skiing.
look at absinthe, mackdawg and even msp. the snowboarding/skiing is much better and more admirable than anything you'll ever see from those young kids who are sheep to the trends within skiing.

Wo wo why all the hate, the gangsta image of kids doing urban is not hurting the sport. If you want skiing to stay progressive and not just fade into the distance we need to do all aspects of the sport park, urban, big mountain, and pow. I do think they need to do more on the rails they just ride um they need to get better at putting more style into them and spinning on and off. The skiing in the movie was really good, i mean how can you not like petes segement with the perfect tail grabs and John Symms awesome bacountry tricks?

nice blake. its funny cus both absinthe and mdp have the urban "food court gangsters" you speak of in justin bennee and aaron biittner and they both destroy it in great movies made by great movie companies that everybody loves regardless. just because its an aspect of the sport that is well "below" you and you have no interest in, doesnt mean you have to hate it. the same sheep comment can easily be said about this tight pant trend that i am starting to see everywhere (and that surface is a huge part of promoting). I just think that statement coming from you and your "love not hate" comment is amusing.

Super...but thing on this....arnt we all just going on jumps and spinning around in the end? I think your looking for a certain origionality that everyone claims to have to make themselves sound cooler....It was a sick movie! With some sick shots and tricks!

Strange... because I always seem to agree with your stance... but I just can't back you up on this one. In the past, you seemed like you knew better than anybody else that everybody had their own style to incorporate into their skiing.
Surface has pushed a different direction than Armada, which has pushed a different direction than Line, which has pushed a different direction than Ninthward, and so on. Likewise, skiers differ aswell; Eric Pollard and Pep Fujas's backcountry antics are stray far from Jon Olson and Jacob Webster's park oriented skiing. Tim Durtschi's urban-inspired clothing is quite different from Eric Hjorleifson's backcountry style.
As a person who wear's clothes that actually fit, I don't see the appeal to look like a "food court gangster"... but I still respect their right to their own style. Yes, we've seen it done a million times before and it's not the most original look... but I don't see where it's my place (or your place) to criticize them for this choice.

I'm so sick of HATE.
Gangster, hesh, normal, whatever. It doesnt matter. We all love skiing and hating does nothing more than diminish our friendly sport culture.
Diversity will happen, no matter what. I accept it with open arms.
PBP is a sick crew cause they are doing all sorts of crazy stuff. I didn't really like Yeah Dude, but I still respect them.

im sick of ski movies trying to hard. i feel like everything is an act or a movie set were all they funny jokes and spur of the moment things are staged along with cheesy ideas for filler or intros. all i want is the SICK riding (yes all the movies include this) and the feel of fun that makes you want to go ride more than ever. (not saying after watching yeah dude or idea you dont want to ride) just want it to be a subliminal message into my head that gets me stoked.

zissou's post is right on. he should drop the "open arms" talk and stick with divisiveness.

After watching it yesterday, I came up with the following conclusions:
-WHY did pbp have to ruin the alaska seg with hard rock??
-Chris B's segment was the best, it is done in a little different style then the rest of the movie, more relaxed/show the beauty of skiing type, wish the rest of the movie was like it
-Andrea's, Tim Duturschi's, and the Schweitzer segments stood out to me the most after it.
-Its long, 70 minutes without bonus features.
-Music could have been better. More slow music.
-There is enough variety.
-Paco Garcia's clips were pretty cool with the picnic table jibs, he did them like a snowboarder.

yes! I could bitch about this movie for hours and how much i hated it but ill spare the bullshit. Basically it was the same 1080 x grab on perfect park jumps, with the same stereotypical soundtrack from the last ten year of ski movies. Im sick of fucking heavy metal AK segments and shitty corporate rap. with their budget I imagine they could do alot better. peace

Sick movie, petey o's seg, benchetler's seg were so sick.
benchetlers seg is also in the bonus section... it's the same edit.
hatveits urban c-rail (?) was insane

what??? there was a ton of originality from the young "juvenile kids" all the urban stuff and especially walker was crazy. and no offence to bencheteler, he is a crazy good skier, but the only original thing in his part was the filming, it was mostly just pow riding that we see in every movie.
and msp being different???? wow i havent seen anything very original from them in a very long time, just a bunch of the same big mountain stuff every year and talking about how epic everything is. the only thing thats good about msp is their filming, thats it.
