currently i ride 2006 salomon thrusters in a 171. im 5' 9" and 125 pounds and they are center mount and i can spin, do everything etc...fine on them. i ski westcoast (whistler, grouse etc...) and do 50% park and 50% pow, all mountain/real skiing. i have been looking at the 08 lizzies as my new big mountain/pow ski that can still do park. they come in a 172. how will i do on these skis? thoughts?
are they?
my friend ordered a pair, there coming in next week, he cant stop talking about them...anyways, he also has a pair of the 06s
he told me that they are softer apperently then previous models, even though their mad soft already
i have a hard time believing that they dont tip dive if you center mount. i would prob get livelife2's, no camber + longer = less tip dive in center mount
i think they'd be great. but make sure u want that much of a sidecut though, cause they'll turn like a slamon ski, unlike many park and big mountain skis.
i would also go live life 2. seem to come in better sizes for you. remember, twin-tips size up because they loose some surface area due to the second tip.
i have lizzies for pow mostly and they are awesome for that, you can like ollie out of powder over like 3 feet out, and they turn like crazy! and for park they may not be the best park skis ive ever ridden, but they are probably the most fun, they butter like crazy and pop like crazy, so if you like to fuck around alot there probaly isnt a better ski. and they are light as poop for their size, i can 270 on doble switch up and stuff on these pretty easy, they feel a little heavy when your doing that type of stuff but its not bad. you can also do some pretty huge nose and tail presses on rails too. but on jumps over like 50 ft. they felt kinda funny, you could get used to them though. on smaller jumps like 15 foot kiddy park stuff i can take off in a butter and land in one. so yes you should get them.
though the live life 2's seem like they might be pretty sweet too.
Dayum, I love these skis. I want them so bad. I just cannot afford them right now, or well I can but that's my life savings. Hopefully I can win some cash or the actual skis sometime.
Sorry for bringing back this old thread, but what will these be like compared to a pair SFB's? I want something that will last me a full 2 seasons, and I am still growing. Bacon's will be too long for awhile, but I could grow in (most likely). How tall is Pollard? If he can use them for park at his height, I probably will once I grow...
Any more thoughts? I think I'm making a trip down to Seattle this weekend to buy skis, boots, and bindings since our dollar is so powerful right now. Need to know soon which ones to get.
