This is one of the most reliable, solid cams I've shot with. I know kids who have dropped there vx1s 10+ feet and had no problems, or crashed off huge jumps doing follow cams. It just keeps going. The 12bit sound is better than the newer vx's for rails and the rich colors in the bright ouside are actually preferred by some. With the mk1 'death lens' - the widest unmodded handblown lens in the world, this setup is the ultamate follow cam. mk1 does not fit any other camera.
$1,700
you get
vx1000 with recently replaced heads and custom eye piece
lowe mini trekker cam backpack
century optics mk1 death lens (worth $700-900)
bescor 50/100 watt mount lights
4 info-lithium batteries
info-lithium charger
uv filter
lens pen
1 mini sony premium tape
This camera has only been used with sony tapes. Everything is working perfectly except for the VTR mode, which is actually a good thing because it will prevent you from rewinding and watching footy which is bad for the heads. Use a cheap 1chip to capture. The century mk1 has some small marks on the lens but not notaceable unless you are shooting directly into the sun. The little plastic switch piece (to change from camera - vtr - off, is chipped.
I'm selling becuase i just moved out of my house and I need money.
