Does anyone know any more about these skis? I searched and no one really knows anything except cap construction. It's a little fatter than ar6, is it stiffer?
Yeah, I already checked that out, it doesn't really say much except it's an all mountain ski pretty much. Anybody demoed or held these skis yet? Are they light, stiff? What?
I own the AR6's in 181 and I skied on the El Reys in 178 for 2 days.
The El Reys feel lighter and more nimble than the AR6 due to cap construction and do carve pretty tight, but I can definitely say that they feel less bombproof and less solid than the AR6s.
The El Reys feel exactly what they are meant for: an all-mountain ski that carves and feels like a regular carving ski, but still very light and very poppy for jumps. It reminded me of the Foils, very similar feel.
I just prefer the the more confidence-feel of the sandwich construction of the AR6.
yeah when i was getting my il moros i went over and were looking at skis and i picked up the el ray which did feel lighter than the ar6 but other than that i dont know... if i remember right hand flexing they were about the same but hand flexing doesnt mean anything so im not sure.
