interesting concepts, conspiracy theories are fun. It's hard to say whether or not I believe in what he is saying. I did like his closing comparing the ancients belief that everything revolved around the earth to our belief that the earth is constant, and does not grow.
science is pretty much all theories. were probably wrong about alot of stuff just like how our ancestors were.
DO NOT TURN THIS INTO A SCIENCE VS FAITH ARGUEMENT PLEASE!!!
very questionable. there wasn't much else but a bunch of animations in that video. is that supposed to be all the evidence? some questions i have are: why is this happening? where does the additional matter to make the earth grow come from? where does all the sea water come from to fill the oceans? why would scientists want to keep this from us? how could every single scientists that knows about this keep their mouth shut? why would the knowledge of this be so devastating to scientific theory?
seems like there are a lot of unanswered questions to this hollow idea. plus, neal adams is just a comic book animator, wtf does he know about sciences like geology?
I dont believe it , if you watch the maps in the pacific go together they have to bend and twist them to make the fit. but in the atlantic the just slide together
Mostly agreed. He sort of touched on why it would go against every theory etc. in the video and why it's such a "secret". Probably not a "secret" just a less supported theory. I was also wondering where all this extra matter is coming from in order to make the earth larger. If matter is neither created nor destroyed then what exactly is he saying?
exactly my point. it doesn't make sense. it would make sense for a gaseous planet like jupiter to possible expand because gases have the ability to do that. but solids and liquids, which make up the earth (and mars) can neither be expanded nor contracted to any significant degree. so where is this all coming from? the earth can't grow like organisms can because it doesn't contain living tissues that hold growth plates or anything. all the matter that has ever been on this planet is all the matter that will ever be on this planet. and that includes water, the amount of water on planet earth will forever be constant, so why how the fuck can he explain that the earth suddenly had water to fill all these new oceans?
but that's not what he's saying. he specifically said that the earth "doubled in size". the earth could gain surface area simply by having more mountains instead of flat ground, but he's specifically saying that the planet itself is growing larger, which is ridiculous.
thats not possible, matter (mass) cannot be created nor destroyed, it's a law of physics, so if the surface area is growing the interior is becoming hollow
you cannot just make shit dissapear it's not possible and that is a fact, there is nothing inside the earth that is creating new molecules out of nothing, your bones and skin expand because it takes molecules from the food you eat and the minerals you take in and expands them, there is no such force that does that on earth. The only way that earth's mass would expand is through the falling of particles from astroids and meteors and such, that is the only way, and that is such a miniscule amount that it makes no difference in the earth gravitational pull. Also, there is relatively the same amount of water on earth now as there was when the earth was formed. Slight amount of water evaporate and escape the earth's atmosphere but on a whole again there is not enough to alter the earth's gravity.
according to our theories and laws right now your exactly right but if this is true than almost everything you ever knew about science would be proven untrue
the earth doesnt have to gain mass if it grows. just like if i take water and freeze it itll still have the same mass, itll just be less dense.
and saying that its impossible because matter is neither gained nor destroyed isnt a valid argument, IMO. thats exactly what the guy was saying about 100 yrs of science out the window. hes saying that if this is true, then that would prove the law wrong.
whats really happening is other more advanced life forms are sending shit here. such as transformers, war of the worlds, etc. look at how big those are. thats my theory. (jk)
i understand that, but it would not alter the earth's gravity if it expanded because mass is what controls gravity, not size, however i just got lost in trying to explain the laws of physics
Interesting concept and nice graphics but theres too many holes and evidence against this to take it seriously. He really doesn't say anything which disagrees with the more accepted idea of the pangea continent. According to that video the earth grows and some how water just magically fills in the gaps even though it was never there to begin with. The video also claims the land masses just sit and don't move, theres tons of geological studies done about different how and when different mtn. ranges formed. Is the earth staying exactly the same size/mass? No, of course not, meteorites hit and theres gas which escapes earth's gravity all the time but nothing on this kind of scale.
Science doesn't know everything and its good to question currently accepted theories but theres no conspiracies. Science adapts to whichever theory has the most evidence to back it up and this particular one is just someone messing with graphics.
heres one beef i have with it. in the first animation it shows that the entire world is land. if that was actually what happened, then where the fuck did all our water come from?! only 20% of this planet is land. the animation shows the continents separating and just magically getting filled in with water...
i kind of agree with you. i was wondering where all the evidence against the currently accepted theory is. idk if we will ever be sure in our lifetimes but its an interesting theory.
Finding evidence against the currently accepted theory is always a bit of a problem because once a solid piece of evidence is found the theory either adapts to explain that evidence or its scraped and a new theory is proposed. You're right its hard to ever be certain, most of the time all we can know is that the theory works (ie. predicts things which can be tested for) and there hasn't been any evidence discovered which disagrees. I'm generalizing to all theories/concepts here not just about the earth.
