well, basically go ahead and critique it if u want, or just say whatever (like it, don't like it). found some creativity tonight and worked for like an hour on this from scratch.

first thing to pop up onto Google, and tanner is pretty sick in the pipe. no real reason though, it was an easily photoshopable pic too so that helped.

ok i cleaned up some small stuff (color on the jump was a little off where the sign was, getting rid of some of the extra part of the picture that the skis came from, and i think thats it). here it is.

really nice work. looks professional for sure, and i agree you should send it to armada, they're sure to send you some cool stuff for it. also, whats with the cranes in the corner?

haha to be honest, i really have no clue. it spells ARMADA SKIS or something like that in the wingdings font, i never really took it out because it filled up the bottom.

lose boyd, lose the wingdings, lower the armada skis title down around 50px and work on the glow around the skier on the rail, looks wayy to unnatural. i'm not really feeling the lip of the jump ethier. i think it's a good piece i just think it needs a little work before it can be a strong image. but i'm sure you know that saying that you only spent like an hour.

In the bottom center its a little too busy if you know what i mean. Id try and make it more even and keep the focus on more of the skis and the brand. Just for future reference. But its deffinitly good for a beginer

I got "problems" reading Armada Skis, is it somewhat bright, should be marked a bit better maybe(I actually had problems spotting it on the first look)?
I would consider removing Boyd to make it look even more awesome. Is that a lip(looks like the JOI one) behind the skis? feels kinda pointless to have it there, but i dunno if removing it would do it. Anyways it looks awesome and it defiantly have the potential to look like an ad with a bit more working, keep it coming :)

ah yeah sorry i thought that was boyd easley, i found out by googleing tanner hall. which brings me to my next criticism, i wouldn't use images from google images. mainly for their low resolution and also because they are seen alot (especially ones from the first page!) which takes away from the image you are trying to create.

^ill keep that in mind. Here is what i have so far. im having trouble thinking of what to put in instead of the JOI jump. ideas are welcome.

i worked on the shadow on the skier, switched up the skis (since it is tanner skiing, i put in the T-halls). i added a drop shadow to the text, and took out the crane stuff at the bottom.

also the rail looks a little out of place, but i dunno what to do with it since i may be changing the jump around a bit.

Looked better without tanner imo. But as I see the bottom of the rail now it doesn't fit in the picture at all with the snow around, maybe cut away the snow(the most white snow coming from the rail pic)?
And about the JOI lip I dunno, there should be something there at least I agree on that.

and for the paint splatters- you gotta download brushes (for photo shop). try looking over at deviantart.com, i think they have brushes. u just gotta look around and find some sweet ones, and usually it tells how to install the photoshop help file (i think)

thanks a lot.

for the latest picture, i think you should cut out the part of the jump to the right of the rail to make the rail look more natural there and you sould put back tanner instead of that guy doing the cruton. i think it looked better. other than that i think its really sick

thanks dude! if i put the other pic (of tanner) in there i think it would look best if it was the size of the one in there now. do you agree? i like how it looks like he's hitting the jump.

also, could you clarify where you were talking about cutting out part of the jump??

it might look better if the rail doesnt look as if it is fake-ly put on the jump. (still looks sick) try moving it right and make it explode out of some cool stuff.

the rail is a really creative idea that I'm surprised worked. I also like the horizontal lines on the bottom, they take away from the rails not so perfect cropping and ending. the air trick in the bubble looks odd where it is, maybe move it around a bit? either way it's still way cool.

I think that the green looking kicker and the orange looking armada symbol in the bottom right should be either blue/purple/red or whatever

still sick! but I think the first one you posted looks best, the edits arent as nice

i didnt add any glow to the skiers. there is a lense flaire in the background and thats it (on the later versions that is)
