Possibly a Classifieds section seperate from Ski Equipment?

I noticed that the Ski equipment forum is mostly classifieds with a few select tech threads.

Maybe it might be a good idea to have a seperate classifieds forum and then tech questions could have their own dedicated forum?

Opinions? Discussion?

technically there is a buynsell section with real ads etc...but no one looks at it or uses it and its just easier to make threads in the ski equipment section.

Well, to my understanding gearswap is different.

As for the classifieds under "Interact"... why isn't it being used at all?

it seemed to me like the goal for gearswap was to slowly phase out the classifieds section. Personally, I liked the classifieds a lot when they were being used more frequently a couple years ago.

Bingo.

I like the idea of classifieds being a forum post, but I think tech questions and tech posts should have their own place where they can be seen and noticed.

I've probably suggested this idea a dozen times over the last 3 years. No one listens to me. For fucks sake if we can have Camp and Event forums (pretty much only worthwhile in the summer) why the fuck can't we have a buy/sell forum. I'm going insane over here, it can't be that difficult.

I have been saying this from the beginning of when we could make recommondations...ski equipment needs to be slit up into 3 sections like this

||||||||||||||||Ski Equip Discussion|||Classifieds/sales||||||||||Reviews||||

That would broden the options so much more and the site would be used that much more....that is 3 secitons

Well, i think reviews should stay the way they are... As reviews in a non-forum type of review.

But Classifieds needs to be totally seperate from Ski Equipment. Ski equipment should be for tech questions and that only so people can get their tech questions noticed and answered.
