watching baseball today you'll notice there are american flags on the baseball players caps, obviously because today is 9/11. what do you guys think of having the flags there year round where it is considered americas past times.... jays fan can have canadien flags i suppose, i dunno what do you guys think
Ok baseball falls in to that catigory (we go could go on all day with what sports do to, golf, tennis, etc) but football? You have to be kidding me have you ever played football? It is 10 times more physically demanding that soccer, period. And i know this because i know multiple kids who have played both in high school and serious soccer? It's pure cardo endurance. Football is cadro, muscular, and mental endurance/strength. EVERY SINGLE high school soccer player i know from my high school would get their ass kicked (physically, not like speed or cardo) in FRESHMAN football.
i wouldn't go as far as saying that football applys. you have to be in good shape to be a running back or receiver. maybe if you were only talking about linemen..
Ok man, that guy took it too far. I play soccer and you need to shut the fuck up, it is as hard as football. Go watch an MLS game or a professional game, those guys are extremely strong and fit, and it is a very mental game as well as football. Maybe the kids on your schools soccer team are pussies but that's not how it is in most places. No, soocer players aren't as big as football players so no, they aren't as strong but don't say oh a football team would win a fight.....ya no shit dude, they are fucking huge, but don't hate on soccer cause the guys aren't as big as football players. 2 different sports, bothc or which are very physically and mentally demanding.
linemen are in good shape. they are healthier, stronger, and faster than most people. baseball takes athletic talent also. why do you think they all use steroids? so they can be bigger, faster, stronger. idk why all these foriegn fuckers think soccer and skiing are the only two sports on the planet
dude I like football way more than soccer, but you are wrong. football players are stronger and bigger, but soccer is WAY more cardio than football, seeing as how they run non stop. Also, tennis isnt phyically demanding? are you fucking kidding me?
well i'm glad were all arguing over stuff that has nothing to do with the topic.... anyways i dont see how you can trash talk baseball. do you have the strength and the hand eye cordidnation to hit a homerun? could you do it if the pitcher was throwing 95? i bet you'd all look foolish at the plate... not to mention go watch some coco crisp highlights and tell me hes not athletic, or any centerfielder for that matter
sure it takes skill, but take a look at babe ruth, the most famous baseball player ever, and he was fat, had an awkward run, and was most likely hung over most of the time he played, so while baseball takes skill, it does not necessarily require athleticism
football and soccer may have players that are more fit but baseball is much harder coordination wise, if you can hit a ball every 3rd time you bat your one of the best players of all time. Throw a ball 90+ into a spot no bigger than your fist from 66.6 feet away, throw a guy out from 200+ feet out with a pin point accurate throw. Baseball may not require you to be the most physically fit (the vast majority of players are in great shape) but it definitely takes more precision and coordination than both football and soccer. Not saying those are bad sports, I like them all, but I'm kind of tired of baseball getting hated on when it has a whole different aspect of difficulty people seem to forget about.
And sure football players could win in a fight with soccer players....so what?
Yes, maybe there is more to baseball than meets the eye, it's still boring as fuck to watch and play.
Football is fun to wacth and play. But nothing beats the nonstop action, skill, drama, excitement, etc, of soccer....not even skiing. And I know the world agrees with me.
