wow i love how scientists are doing leaps and bounds in the laboratory, but our government is too fucking stupid to give them grants and money to actually do a serious experiment quickly. this isn't the only guy to figure out how to use water as a fuel source, but you never even hear about them
i dont really see how this will solve anything in the long run. its not just dealing with water, salt is the basis behind this theory. salt isnt renewable just like oil. it takes an extremely long time to recreate. so if this does replace oil, we're essentially back to square one.
well oil is in small wells from dead things from millions of years ago, and it burns into pollutants, while salt water makes up 75%of our surface, and doesnt burn into pollutants, so in conclusion you fail
everything i said was correct. yes, we have a huge amount of salt water. but thats what we thought about oil too when we first discovered that it could be used as fuel.
there are many alternative sources of energy available to people, hydrogen cell etc. the point is its still cheaper to create our fuel from oil. new methods have been made to get oil for cheaper. all anyone cares about is money. when oil becomes too expensive we will switch to the next cheapest source. perhaps then a green source of energy will be chosen. it all depends on money
Itd be nice if i could fill my car up with salt water. Shit gas is almost 3 bucks a gallon we all could save so much money and put the assholes that run the oil industries back where they came from.
I live in Erie PA and this story has been all over our newspapers since last year. It is really cool but not practical. Think about shooting radiation at water. You have to remember that you aren't getting that much energy at all considering you have to power the device that sends out radiation.
lolz. remindedme of a poster in my chem teachers room of some dude shreddin it up on this sand dune. that would be redic, but id rather ski on snow for now
amazing, another huge breakthrough in alternative energy. i've been reading all these stories about hydrogen power, compressed air, fresh/salt water, and all about how they can power cars. the technology's there, i really hope that we can all get our act together to fund it and get it in all of our vehicles.
cool, but many things will need to go right in order for that to be considerd. our world is run on oil, kinda funny how its a major contributer to the state that the planet is in..............
