Why wont iMovies work on NS?

So, i was making an edit with iMovie, and I uploaded it expectin everything to be cool. And I could view view the movie only from the computer i made it on. So, i go over to my friends house and i say "hey, u see my new edit?" and he said no it doesnt work. So i clicked on it at his house and nothing happened. Ns please try an do sumthin about it thanks.

you sure it just wasnt working cuz your friend didnt have the proper codecs and shit?

you have to export it in .mov video before uploading it to NS
