i cant decide, the x1950 pro is cheaper, and better than the 8600 GT, but the 8600 has dx10

do you have Vista? you need vista to run DX10, but i don't think there are any games for DX10 out now. it will be needed in teh future, but you should wait a few months, when newer, cheaper cards come out.

8600 is a fucking amazing card. i highly suggest it.

is it the whole 8000 series that is DX10, or just 8600 and 8800. i don't really pay that much attention, because i don't feel like putting the money into a computer, because i don't play any computer games at my house. i just randomly look at computer stuff from time to time, looking at what is new.
