you can mount any twin tip pretty much anywhere you want. If they are a park ski then get them centermounted, and tell the shop guy he doesn;t know shit.
And personally, I'd go with the recommended point, unless it's far back, but a dedicated park/pipe ski should have a fairly forward suggested mounting point.
There is a reason manufacturers suggest the mounting points they do. And I hate skiing centermounted non-symmetrical skis. They ride like ass IMO.

how will you ever possibly make it to the park if theyre center mounted? you cant ski like that your head will implode and shoot out your anus!
