Wow, A huge E-props goes out to you.

I just finished three days of research, which I barely got through...at times I seriously considered dropping my humanities class. Anyways, I'm relieved to be done, but am scared to start composing a grueling 15 page paper...that's due in 2 days.  No sleep for me!

University.

To get your Honors Degree (H.BA) you need a complusory 4th year credit in either community research or a thesis paper. Neither of which interest me, hence my decision to stick to a general 3 year (BA) degree.

I love New Mexico! I'm having a blast, running 2-2.5 hours a day (at 7320 feet when I'm used to living at sea level, it's fucking intense!) and hiking for four or five hours a day in the mountains. It's so beautiful here and the people are awesome!!!!

I love the Bachmeiers! Raddest brothers ever, seriously.

My race is on the 2nd! YAY! I'm so excited. Running at sea level is going to be a sinch by the time I get back. I still have my spare tire that I'm working on losing, but oh well.

I love Ninja! He's the best puppy ever. I call Holly so she can put him on speaker phone, and he barks like crazy when he hears my voice. I miss him soooooo much.

Went to Highmount today. Holy fuck. It was beautiful. You would think with these spring like conditions, and warm weather, that it would have been awful. But it was gorgeous.

It's funny though, going there...you sort of get a creepy feeling looking at all the old trails and lifts. We did this one dope ass line down the old T-bar lift. It was pretty intense.

The terrain there is 10x better than at Belleayre. It's crazy weird. I love Highmount.

Stoked and not stoked

Started off my solo jib session on my backyard box set up with a couple warm up slides to figure out how sticky the plastic tosheet was going to be. went well. landed my first 270 out on this box (its a bitch to spin out of if you dont spin on). stoked. then went for a 270 on and over rotated and fucked up my sprained ankle again (not stoked). So i walked back up and decided that switch unnatural made sense in my head and proceeded to try that for the first time ever. Learn sw on sw off, sw on 270 out, sw on tail press....all unnatty. pretty stoked.


weird how and injury made me try a different style (sw unnatty) because it didnt hurt my ankle as much...haha

oh ya...the reason i stopped riding.

tried a 270 on and caught an edge in the plastic topsheet and almost knocked myself out in the resulting tomahawk. not stoked. should be wearing a helmet...

i know what youre talking about though with that eerie feeling....i got the same feeling when i went over there last time to shred some gnar and i had to pee. so i pulled out behind the first hut there and squated like no other....i had this feeling someone was watching me though. fuckin ninjas

Hahaha that's a good way to put the feeling. No, it wasn't my first time there. But today, it almost felt like it was. Just the way the conditions played out, it was a bluebird day. But by the time we made it up the quad and over to Deer Run, it had gotten cloudy, snowy, dark, and cold. And as soon as we emerged onto Highmount, the wind stopped, the sun peaked just a tiny bit, and I got scurred. Hahaha.
