Sounds like a downright orgy of fun!

So I snapped last night. I'm nearly broke (getting payed march 5, just need to hold out until then), I have no beer in the house and I was up to my ears in homework. So, last night around 9 I said "fuck it". I took the "1 free late draft" option for this paper and basically decided to work on my lab notebook today, which really didnt happen in the long run.

I went to a pizza place thats near my house with some friends. Its cool, really hole in the wall, oak 'walled-in' booths and a arcade area in the back with old ass pinball and arcade games. Pizza slices were $1 each on mondays, as were pints of miller. So I got drunk for $7! We trooped home around 11, invited some peeps over, did a few rounds of beer pong with what they brought, and then around 2 decided it would be fun to go rappel over the side of a bridge. We dropped over the side of this suspended timber bridge that goes over this ravine in a park about a mile from my house. 100' drop into dark scary woods infested with hobo's and crackheads. Good stuff.

So yeah, got back at like 4, slept for three hours or so and went to school still shitfaced. I passed out in this lecture where we had a special guest lecturer. I sobered up by the lab class, but I still feel like puking shit everywhere, and probably got maybe a 10/20 on the lab report. But life feels a lot different, which is good. Stirring shit up with something absolutely stupid and ridiculous can be completely refreshing.

Stoked on the new snow. About a foot will be the final tally, and it's thick, packable stuff which will help grow the base and everything around here for the final stretch of the season.

Bummed none of my buds wanted to blow off work tomorrow to drive 8hrs in the storm to Vermont for skiing tomorrow.

Haha, I blew off skiing with a uhhh..friend who was a girl to go skiing.  I hung up really quickly before the stupidity of that registered.  She hasn't called me since, so I think the problem kind of worked itself out.  Stooooooked.

pillow again...there are 4 pillows in a row in the picture, I'm going from the first one all the way down to the 4th one. You can't see very well, but it's actually a decent amount of drop and horizontal distance. super fun.

Thats gotta be pretty sweet to be coaching a kid like that and see him progess so fast.

i finally sacked up for the 270 on...been a long time come with getting confidence in my knee and shit. glad i can say i have the balls for em now :P

haha is zoolander on again? but yeah today was sick, big ups to lesley for being a really sick skier, and actually pushing me, she can rip trees a new asshole btw, maybe it's the super short skis but i was having a difficult time keeping up with her in there

WTF is with the winters the past couple years? From the sounds of it the West coast has been relatively shitty in comparison to a "good" season, and save for the tail end of last season I'd say the same for the EC?

i think people on the west coast are just complainers. when I was home in oregon for christmas break, meadows was getting on average, a foot of powder every day. they have like 18 feet right now or something.

I really hope we have a repeat from the end of last season. We had that Valentine's Day storm, and two more in March. Which gave us enough snow to stay open until April 22nd.

The problem though, is that when it actually snows a decent amount, I'm at the top of my game with my riding. It's hard to bring it to a peak point when the snow is always icy, hard, and no fun.

If I was out west, I'd be pro. Yup.

Yeah I'm hoping for a repeat of last year too!

I hate skiing on ice, its really no fun and sketchy at times. I prefer powder obviously haha

Well....you can nosepress my box if I can lipslide your rail....

I ran into two old elementary/high school friends today. Who were actually riding with this guy Davey Sandy, who used to be a pro skater. Cool as fuck. It was really nice to see them. I brought up a memory of when we were in sixth grade, and the kid wrote in my yearbook "You're ugly". Hurt me back then, but now, I realize he was probably right. Before I got my braces, before I blossomed...etc. It was really cool to see them. And we'll most likely be chillin tomorrow night (Lesley...are you coming????).

It was a good day :)

no idea what it's called. first time i've ever been in there.

you know how that area is like a canyon? if you enter at the top of glacier, and ski/traverse down and to the right, you're kind of in beginning of the bottom of that canyon? if you are standing at that point, where you could go back and to your right to skin up the opposite ridge, the bottom of the chute is forward and to your left.

next time there's some good snow we should just shred it and i'll show you.

So I think I'm heading down to Moab for spring break, but I'm not 100% sure.  Why am I stoked?  Well, I have found someone who wants to ski the La Sals just outside the town of Moab, which would be incredible.  I would LOVE to go backcountry skiing with desert all around me.  I still need to make a lot of decisions before this happens though.
