I skied waist deep pow today
I dropped a 180 into from a windlip for the first time ever
i found my wallet. I dropped it from a chairlift yesterday without knowing. It was snowing at the time. Very hard. Someone found it, turned it in and didn't take anything from it.
I'm drinking free beer at my friend's bar
I think I'm moving to Seoul or Tokyo this summer.

Holy shit Lesley! I am coming and hanging out to break it in! (even though I only briefly glanced at whatever it is you posted hahahaha)

Ok, disclaimer, I've had a few.

Anyway! I had a totally great day! I talked to this guy Craig about joining his Catskill Outback program. It's canoing, kayaking, mountain biking, hiking, ropes course, fishing, etc! He's going to train me and it's going to be awesome. This is way cool.

AAAANNNNDDDDD I've been hooking up with a super hot boy (allll over the mountain), who is going to hang out with me tomorrow night. I don't think I could be in a better mood!! WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!

I went in to Intuition today to pick up my liners and get them molded...My boot setup is now awesome! Flexon Comp Teams, stiff tongue, Intuition power wrap liners. Pretty much what Full Tilt sells as the BB Pro, except I put it together for under 200. I'm excited to ski in em this weekend!

Stoked that I passed out superrr hard like twenty times tonight while watching a movie with Nic, haha. Okay, not really that stoked, but oh well. Drinking excessively until late last night really took it out of me, I guess. Oh well, hanging with friends is cool!

Tell me about it, I'm trying to break out of here early today. Our bus leaves PA at 6 and I haven't even packed anything yet. I'm a compulsive late packer though for sure. Skis, boots, poles, and outerwear, everything else can be forgotten anyway.

I had waist deep snow today. All day. Stevens was closed once again (Sunday will be epic, they will have been closed for 3 days, over which the mountains have had 70+ inches of snow), so I went to Crystal and payed up the ass for a lift ticket. If its any indication, as poor as I am, I bought a sweet casual industries shirt at a coffee place in Greenwater on the way back. So fucking stoked.

But back to today. Have you ever skied a huge line thats completely untracked? Where you can put in an edge and sink down and just keep going and going, your skis just solidly coasting with no resistance or bumps? Yeah, so that was today - like all day. I was finding waist deep untracked lines from top to bottom all day. Its like people there just dont ever venture past trees. I got my balls together around lunch (I didnt stop) and pretty much straightlined a 50 degree (untracked) chute near Niagra's and took a 10 drop off the side of it going wicked fast. Amazing the shit you can land in untracked waist deep, I must have traveled like 80 feet laterally before touching down into another deep (untracked) bowl.

Only hiccup to an otherwise amazing day was that I snagged a rock taking a cliff. Rode it out, but I have a six inch long serrated coreshot in my Madens now, and its on the red ski no less! Fuck, I have to P-tex my until now beautiful bases.

you'll have to base weld a gash like that, just straight p-texing it won't work, you need to heat the base up as well otherwise it can just fall out resulting in moisture in your core which means loss of camber and or delamination

Nice Scott! Matty did a great job on the graphics. Love it.

Stoked that the mountain got a few inches of snow today. It was great, finally. Temps are supposed to stay really low, so we can blow some more snow before the compressors have to go back. But I pray for the natural stuff. Guns just can't make the same powder that comes from the sky.

got up at 500 am this morning and hit the road right after snagging a juicy cup of joe. mmmm. got up to killy around 7:45, just in time for the gondola to start cranking. skied the trees all day long over near skye ship...sick. so much pow. poppin off of rocks, stumps and whatever else i could find. talk about a fuckin day. today alone got me re-stoked for this winter. i stopped around 130 to give my knees a rest for tomorrow. heading out for sushi in a couple off mins. soooooooooooooo stoked ;P

East coast pow day.  Skied around 8 inches of fresh snow in the glades all day while snowing.  Never got bored and always found fresh runs.  So stoked, it's going to suck to get up in the morning and go to work instead of skiing.

well you should be happy about the pow cuase i went up on sat and it was ICE everywhere, everything was ICE the first 2-3 hrs then it started to warm up and turned to slush.

ok, so i have a roommate who is like 30 and has a 10 year old son and he only comes over during the weekend and he rents 2 rooms (dont ask me why i picked him, i was in a hurry to go back home for the summer and my dad owns the house so he wants me to find someone to move in and i found him off from criagslist) 

So last night after the mountain, my best friend chris and i got back home and took a shower then went out to pick up pizza and beer while steph and ben went to blockbuster to rent top gun and jason wasn't home so i texted him saying that i will have a few people over watching movies, he said ok ill just stay out with my son and we'll go watch at a movie theather or something, so i said alright cool.  after top gun was over, steph and ben left to go home, then sdot came over and then we headed out to karaoke bar to meet 2 other friends there.  which was FUN by the way.

when we got home which is like 2:30, i see the front door open i was like wtf, then jason turned the tv off and shut the door, so we go in quietly and sit down and pretty much like whispering.  then jason came out and said 2 days of the week is all i ask for, you have 5 days during the week free to yourself, he pretty much repeated that and said lots stupid things.  he also mentioned that he will find a new place and move out!  which is SWEET, cause im tired that hes son comes over every weekend and i cant really my friends over.  I already have another friend who is just waiting for him to move out so he can move in, so its pretty much covered now! YES finally!

sarah was in the bathroom and laughing listening to jason and i was trying hard not to laugh. i really dont mean to be mean to him or anything, but lately he hasn't been paying rent on time, and i have been over paying for cable tv/internet cause i give him 100 bucks each month.

ok, enough of my roommate

Had a pretty damn fun weekend with skiing and lots of alcohol. Friends were in from Calgary and I think I showed them a pretty good time! I also dropped my phone into a puddle where it was completely submerged and the thing works fucking perfectly still. Even right afterwards, it's like the thing is waterproof! Blackberries kick ass!

Just got back from skiing some this morning.

Odd snow conditions. 6 inches of new snow, but it was wind-blown and compacted to this thick layer, and it was rather cold. -25 degree wind chill, single digit air temperatures.

I bundled up and only needed to take a 20 minute warm-up for the toes inside from skiing from 9am 'til 2pm.

Felt good to get out there.

Would've loved to go to VT today, but looking at the web, looks like nearly ALL the lifts at areas in VT are on windhold.

Where to even start...

Just got handed 2 sessions at COC for free for our 'team'.  We're going to be putting on a contest on the last day for them and they decided they're gonna give us the entire final week of camp to be 'threeightwo' week.  I still laugh everytime I think about this...

Just finished getting everything detail wise online for our 2 day event at Loon for this spring, HUGE load off my back.

Just heard back from a guy at Woods Hole about a summer research position that I'm being considered for, had some positive hits back from other local companys about good paying summer internships as well.

Finally got a wood strength test working for my senior project (making skis) that has been causing a lot of problems... but now we get to use a $100,000+ machine to break tons of different types of wood.

Only downside to life right now, have to quit the greenery until I pass a drug test for whatever job I end up taking, could be May before I take the test, could be next week don't really know.... whatever though, I love life right now.

I have about 80-85% of my range of motion back and my knee's feeling a lot stronger.  It's probably still only 60% right now, but I think I might go out and try shreddin' some groomers this weekend if it keeps getting better at this rate.

Yeah, I'm hoping to get up there for at least an hour or so.  I'll just be stoked to be out of the house doing something for the first time in two months!  My bike's going to be rideable on wednesday too, so hopefully I'll be able to ride around a bunch and put a nice mud stripe on all my clothes.  All I really want to do is go backcountry skiing again this year, that's all I care about.
