I have an extreme case of needing to ski. Maybe my addiction is really bad. Regardless, I went up to the Rainier area yesterday with my roommate Chris to find some snow.
We hiked about 1.5 miles into the Pinnicle peak area, next time we are
going to Paradise instead. There is more snow over there, and closer.
I dug a pit to check the avie conditions. It looked alright, so we went for it.
In my defense, it looked bigger from the road. But fun none the less.
Chris built a small rock jib towards the top.
We then went down to a larger snowfield below. I got my shovel shred on.
Riding 189 Hellbents on a 100 ft long snowpatch is sort of like parallel parking a space shuttle in a trendy area of Portland or Seattle.
Beautiful fall colors and wildlife on the walk down
Overall, it was great to be back in the snow. Bring winter, I'm ready.
