Phone? It's all about SKYPE. It's free, or mostly free.
TV? You can pretty much watch everything on the Internet these days.

i was living in thailand for a while working and didnt have either for about a year. not to bad i got both now but hardley use my tv

As long as I had something to do, it'd be fine. But right now I'm pretty much without a cell phone because it died and I don't have the charger for it. And without a computer too seeing as how I'm homeless.
