After seeing Mos Def on Bill Mahre, Talladega nights and that shitty NY crime movie i told my friend that Mos Def has sold out. He thinks not. What do y'all think?

mos def does what he doesnt want to. he doesnt care about what others think. i just get that vibe from him. if you are still playing rock the bells, you still have cred. oh, and he's been acting longer than hes been rapping/went to school for it, so i dont see any arguement there.

The main reason Ice Cube is considered a sell out is because of NWA. Mos Def hasnt really betrayed anyone, hes just promoting himself in a new way. And 16 Blocks was a quality movie, unlike Ice Cubes shit. Though I do love Boys in the Hood.
